Story Highlights:

Davis is still listed day-to-day after suffering a left calf injury on October 29.

Cooper Flagg continues to play every game, while Dereck Lively II is expected to return next week.

The Dallas Mavericks will lock horns with the Washington Wizards, potentially missing star forward Anthony Davis for the fifth straight game. Davis has been on the sidelines because of an injury since October 29 after injuring his left calf against the Indiana Pacers.

Latest update on Anthony Davis

Before that game, he was probable, citing bilateral Achilles tendinopathy. Davis sparked rumors around his return from the calf issue before Friday's clash against the Memphis Grizzlies. He was upgraded to doubtful but downgraded to out hours before tip off.

Mavericks coach Jason Kidd said he was not sure regarding Davis' status for the game against Washington. He claimed his star player was in good spirits and doing "fine" health-wise. For now, Davis is day-to-day for the road back-to-back against the Wizards.

Latest update on Cooper Flagg

On the other hand, Cooper Flagg remains available for the team. The No.1 pick has yet to miss a game. His search for a breakout performance continued on Friday after amassing only 12 poins and two assists in a 118-104 loss. Flagg will get featured in a 10th straight game on Saturday.

Latest update on Derek Lively II

Along with Anthony Davis, Dereck Lively II is among the other active rotation players who kicked off the season but have been injured lately. Lively has been on the sidelines since October 27 with a knee injury. As per the latest update, the former lottery pick is doing on-court work and likely to return next week after missing the seventh back to back game on Saturday.

Latest update on Daniel Gafford

The Dallas Mavericks' alternate option at center, Daniel Gafford, could also miss Saturday's game. The big man left Friday's clash against Memphis with soreness in the right ankle. Jason Kidd had the same update for Davis regarding Gafford, suggesting it is a day-to-day issue.

Kyrie Irving and Dante Exum will remain out. Currently, Irving is recovering from an ACL surgery and Exum is managing a knee injury.
