Exclusive: Sabrina Ionescu makes bold prediction about her WNBA All-Star 2025 appearance
Sabrina Ionescu discusses her WNBA All Star participation

Sabrina Ionescu has solidified her reputation as one of the greatest WNBA players of her generation. With accolades like a WNBA championship (2024), three consecutive WNBA All-Star appearances (2022–2024), and a victory in the 2023 WNBA Three-Point Shootout, her career continues to soar. Ionescu also played a pivotal role in Team USA’s gold medal triumph at the Paris Olympics last year. Currently in Paris for an NBA Games 2025 celebrating the league’s renewed partnership with Swiss watchmaker Tissot, the New York Liberty guard shared her thoughts on whether she will feature in the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game.

Sabrina Ionescu's say on her 2025 WNBA All-Star Game appearance

During an exclusive conversation with Sportstak, Ionescu spoke candidly about her plans for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game. While she confirmed her attendance, her participation remains uncertain.

"It's in the Bay Area so I'm definitely going to be there, don't have an answer yet on if I'm going to be participating in it yet but I'll definitely be there and hopefully some exciting things will happen," she said [13:12 Onwards].

Ionescu’s All-Star appearances have always been memorable, with her 2023 performance being particularly iconic. She won the STARRY WNBA Three-Point Contest by scoring a record-breaking 37 points in the final round, a feat unmatched in both WNBA and NBA history. The achievement sparked a lighthearted challenge from Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, who has an NBA-record 3,577 career three-pointers and two NBA Three-Point Contest titles to his name. Their friendly rivalry has since captivated basketball fans.

This time, however, Ionescu seems to be taking a measured approach to her involvement in the 2025 event. While her presence alone would excite fans, her decision to participate will likely depend on her physical readiness and overall season goals.

Meanwhile, her visit to Paris highlights her role as a global ambassador for basketball. The NBA's partnership renewal with Tissot reinforces the league’s commitment to innovation and excellence, values epitomized by players like Ionescu.

Whether or not she takes the court at the All-Star Game, Sabrina Ionescu’s impact on the WNBA and her influence on the sport remain undeniable. Fans will be eagerly awaiting her final decision as the event approaches.
