LA Lakers lost to LA Clippers on Sunday by 102-116.

LeBron James was unhappy with the performance and seemingly directed a message at the front office.

Following a victory over the Nets and Heat, the Los Angeles Lakers' momentum has been cut short by city rivals LA Clippers on Sunday at the Intuit Dome, Inglewood. The firepower of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Rui Hachimura, and Austin Reeves, was not enough against that of Kwahi Leonard, Ivica Zubac, James Harden, and Norman Powell, as the Lakers lost convincingly by 102-116.

LeBron James Expresses Anger After Lakers' Loss to Clippers

Following the culmination of the game, Lakers' star forward LeBron James was understandably not happy with the performance of his team and as per Lakers insider Jovan Buha, the King came to terms with a harsh truth. According to LeBron, the team cannot afford any errors and have to present a "close to perfect basketball" every time.

The criticism can be asserted as James taking a shot at GM Rob Pelinka and the front office. The 40-year-old is seemingly off the view that he and the other forward Anthony Davis have to carry the burden of the team each time and when they are not having a perfect night on the court, the Lakers ought to struggle.

Rob Pelinka has a critical opportunity to address the Lakers' roster imbalance at the trade deadline. To genuinely contend for a deep playoff run, the team desperately needs an infusion of defensive prowess, athleticism, and shooting accuracy. Overreliance on LeBron James and Anthony Davis not only threatens to exhaust the two veteran stars but also undermines the team's overall postseason prospects. To ensure James and Davis remain fresh for the playoffs, the Lakers must acquire reinforcements to distribute the workload more evenly throughout the regular season.

LeBron James had a usual outing in the game. The NBA legend played for 35 minutes in the match and scored 25 points, with 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Despite the defeat, the Lakers are holding on to the 6th position at the Western Conference table. However, if they continue to incur losses then the situation will become precarious.
