Anthony Davis likely to show up for the Dallas Mavericks in their second preseason match against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday. The six-foot-10 forward is perfectly fit and fine and seemed to be in high spirits during the Mavericks' Fan Jam at the American Airlines Center on Friday.

Davis was featured in Team Blue's starting lineup, which was the exactly same lineup against the OKC Thunder in Dallas's preseason opener clash on Monday. During the game against OKC, the former LA Lakers center played 16 minutes ad delivered an impactful performance.

He amassed seven points on 3 of 5 shooting, consisting of 1 of 2 from beyond the arc. His frontcourt partnership with Dereck Lively II shined as the duo combined for 11 rebounds in limited minutes, with Davis registering seven boards himself. The one-time NBA champion also dished out one assist and recorded two blocks.

Anthony Davis is figuring out to play with eyeglasses doctors have mandated him to wear them for the rest of his playing career. The former New Orleans Pelicans star has picked up multiple eye injuries in the past and even gone through surgery this offseason.

"That is a mandate from the doctor that I have to, for the rest of my career, which I’m not too excited about," Davis said recently. "I’ve been wearing them in the summer working out and kind of getting used to them. But yeah, you guys will see me in the Horace Grants this year. Kareems. I will have some protective eyewear, for sure.

 

 

Meanwhile, the Mavericks are set to play three more preseason matches, consisting the one against the Hornets on Saturday. Anthony Davis is expected to take rest in at least one of those matches before he begins his 14th regular season campaign.
