Insider reveals Jimmy Butler’s availability in the Warriors vs Trail Blazers pre-season game
An NBA insider has revealed that Jimmy Butler will not be available as the Warriors play against the Trail Blazers on Tuesday, October 14. The six-time NBA All-Star did not play in the franchise’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers which they lost. It was due to some personal reasons, while this time, it's something else. As per a report by ESPN’s Anthony Slater, Butler is currently recovering from an injury.
Slater, on his X account, stated:
“Jimmy Butler is out tomorrow night in Portland now.”
The reporter further wrote:
“He had an ankle sprain in practice on Friday. Steve Kerr said the team thought it was minor, but it remains a little swollen.”

Slater stated that Butler is hopeful of returning to play the preseason finale on Friday as they play the Los Angeles Clippers. The former Miami Heat star, in his previous two exhibition games has averaged 10.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.0 steals through 16 minutes per game.
Meanwhile, in their last encounter against the Trail Blazers, the franchise came back from a 21-point deficit to defeat the opponents 129-123 at Chase Center. All thanks to Quinten Post and LJ Cryer who combined for 29 points and six 3-pointers as the Warriors recorded 87 points from their bench to outscore the Blazers.
