The LA Lakers could receive a big boost on Saturday as breakout star Austin Reaves could make a comeback after missing three games. Reaves has been out with a groin injury. On October 3, it was reportedly sore, and since Wednesday, the Lakers have suggested it is a strain.
Latest update on Austin Reaves
Reaves was listed as "questionable" against the Spurs on Wednesday, but was ruled out from the get-go in the Lakers' five-game road trip opener in Atlanta on Saturday. As per the latest injury report, Reaves is questionable again and will likely be a game time decision.
The Lakers faced a brutal 122-102 defeat to the shorthanded Hawks in Reaves absence. They missed his thrust and speed offensively, which could have helped LA break through the Hawks' gritty defense.
Adou Thiero to stay on the sidelines
Meanwhile, the Lakers remain silent on rookie Adou Thiero, who is ruled out yet again. It seemed like he was returning soon when they recalled him from South Bay (G League) on October 31. He also made the road trip. However, Thiero continues to remain on the sidelines, because of a left knee injury recovery.
He will join LeBron James and Gabe Vincent as the other absentees. James has yet to make his season debut. He is dealing with sciatica and could be out until next week at least, James has not travelled with the Lakers.
