LeBron James was finally back on the basketball court after missing the entire pre-season and a few regular-season games. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar entered his 23rd season in the league at Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday night against the Utah Jazz and scored 11 points. While his comeback was eagerly awaited, Austin Reaves came up with a hilarious line for the teammate following the 140-125 victory.

During James’ conversation with the reporters, Reaves interrupted and joked about his G League stint. The 27-year-old guard said:

“Pretty good G League player over there. … The G raised him.”

Earlier, Reaves had poked fun at the Lakers forward, suggesting Bronny James to be “starting in the NBA and LeBron’s assigned to the G League.”

James had missed the training camp and the first month of the ongoing NBA season as the forward was recovering from sciatica. Ahead of his return to the league, he was assigned to the G League with the South Bay Lakers last week for a brief time as he practiced to return for another historic season in the NBA.

While LeBron was away, the franchise was well handled by the players, mainly Luka Doncic, who has been constantly scoring team-high points alongside Reaves. The 17-time NBA Champions are 4th in the Western Conference with an 11-4 record this season. They will next face the Jazz again.
