Luka Doncic is loving the new team and the environment surrounding it. The Los Angeles Lakers’ guard was traded this February by the Dallas Mavericks in what was to be called the most shocking trade in the history of the league. Doncic was a star of the team, and the sudden trade broke him. However, it seems like the Slovenian has moved on and is feeling great sharing the court with superstar LeBron James. The Lakers forward has just made his return against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday, in which he scored 11 points as the team won 140-126.
Lakers’ Luka Doncic says sharing court with LeBron James is ‘special’
James, who missed the training camp and the first month of the ongoing season, has entered a historic 23rd season. On the other hand, Doncic is in his first full season with the team. The two played together against Jazz, and the former Real Madrid basketball player is all praise for the legend. The former Mavericks star, after the game, said:
“Honestly, just sharing the court with him. It’s the 23rd season. It’s insane.”
Doncic continued:
“Just sharing the court with him is special. He sees things that other people can’t. He’s here to help us all, so it’s amazing. It’s only his first game back, and he plays amazing, so I’m excited to play some more.”
Meanwhile, alongside James’ 11 points and 12 assists, Doncic led the team with 37 points and 10 assists. 17 of his points came in the third quarter. Additionally, Austin Reaves scored 26 points, which helped the side claim its third straight victory.
