LA Lakers Aiming to Bring Chris Paul and Zach Collins from San Antonio Spurs

According to Fadeaway World's Eddie Bitar, the Lakers have set their sights on San Antonio Spurs' Hall of Famer Chris Paul and versatile Center Zach Collins. In a quid-pro-quo move, the Lakers could give Rui Hachimura, Gabe Vincent, and Jalen Hood-Schifino to the Spurs in return. The move could prove to be vital for the Lakers and may change their fortunes in the season.

Chris Paul, at 40, is still playing at a high level and week in and week out displays why he is one of the finest playmakers in the history of the NBA.  As per Bitar, "Adding Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Lakers gives the team exactly what they need: a seasoned leader and one of the best playmakers in NBA history." Paul's presence would not only provide leadership but also allow LeBron James to play off the ball more, which would allow him to preserve energy and dispel it during clutch moments. The addition of Paul will not only do wonders for only LeBron James, but it will also prove to be handy for Anthony Davis. His playmaking prowess will fetch Davis the chance to pounce and score easy points.

Alongside Paul, Zach Collins' addition to the team will also be welcomed. Bitar points out, "With Zach Collins, the Lakers gain a two-way presence they've been missing, especially after losing Jarred Vanderbilt for most of the season."

While the incoming of Paul and Collins would be given a positive reception, the exit of Rui Hachimura could may put push the Lakers to reassess the deal.
