The Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks will be locking horns in the pre-season of the 2025-26 NBA season. The two franchises have faced each other 177 times, with the 17-time NBA Championship winners leading the head-to-head record with 119 victories against the Warriors' 58.
Last season, the two teams played a total of three games against each other and Jason Kidd’s side won one of JJ Redick’s two victories. Their last encounter was held in April 2025, where the Los Angeles-based team won 97-112. It would be interesting to see Luka Doncic playing against his former team as the Slovenian is expected to be ready for the exhibition games.
The former Real Madrid basketball star is reported to start against the Lakers’ upcoming clash against the Phoenix Suns, and he will most probably be available against the Mavericks as well. The Lakers are currently 2-1 with only one game won against the Golden State Warriors, recently.
