LeBron James injury update, return date and more as NBA Insider comes up with new details
NBA Insider, Shams Charania has provided new details on James’ injury. As per ESPN's senior reporter, the 41-year-old NBA icon is preparing for the regular season. The sports journalist, via @ohnohedidnt24, stated:
"Lebron James has started to ramp up here. He's doing a little bit on the court.”
Charania added:
“But I'm told the expectation is still he's likely gonna be out for the preseason, the goal being to be ready for opening night.”
The 6 ft 9 in tall superstar has not participated in two of the pre-season games the Lakers have played this season. The 17-time NBA Champions, without their star, are 2-0 so far. However, the franchise is not rushing with the former Cleveland Cavaliers player and will let him recover as the regular season stays on priority.
James will be entering his 23rd NBA season which is the longest for any basketball player in the history of the league. The three-time Olympic gold-medalist is recovering from a glute injury, and the former NBA MVP will not return until he is one hundred per cent fit.
