The sensational trade of February that saw the Mavericks transfer their talisman Luka Doncic to the LA Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis, is finally yielding some output to the Mavs. Davis made an immediate debut for the Mavericks after arriving at the franchise but sustained a heavy injury in the same game. He remained out for a considerable period and finally returned two weeks ago against the Nets.

Mavericks Still Alive In The Season

It was a frustrating spell for the Mavericks fans, as when they were enduring a run of losses in the absence of Davis, their former guard Luka Doncic settled in the Lakers perfectly and began influencing the game as he did for so long being a Maverick. The Lakers are still the bigger beneficiary of the Doncic-Davis deal but AD's return has infused a new energy in the Dallas squad and courtesy of that all of a sudden, they have attained some favorable results.

Mavericks' season is still alive and as Anthony Davis is set to emerge as the prime contributor for the team, a late surge and a playoff run is still possible.
