LeBron James was asked about his relationship with Jaylen Brown. Although the Los Angeles Lakers legend had nothing bad to say about the rival, he has yet to forget this one thing the Celtics star had said.
LeBron James has not forgotten THIS thing about Jaylen Brown as he speaks about their relationship
When asked about his relationship with Brown, LeBron said:
“Our relationship has been pretty respectful.”
The Lakers guard continued:
“Besides that s**t he said about Bronny at Summer League, but other than that, we’ve been alright.”
The three-time Olympic gold medalist further added:
“I think he went on social media and said something about it. It’s all good.”
This was a reference from a Summer League game when Brown was captured criticizing Bronny, LeBron’s eldest son, a few years back. Although the former Cleveland Cavaliers player noted that he has no problems with Brown, he did make sure to acknowledge that he hasn't forgotten the 2024 Summer League.
Reportedly, Brown told WNBA stars Angel Reese and Kysre Gondrezick that he doesn't think that “Bronny is a pro.” However, later, the Celtics guard went on social media to explain what he actually meant by tweeting:
“It’s a flex to have your son alongside you in the nba it reflects greatness and longevity !Bronny has all the tools around him to be successful I look forward to watching his growth.”
Bronny, a consensus four-star recruit, was signed by the Lakers in July 2024 to a four-year, $7.9 million contract, as per a report by ESPN. It became the first father-son duo in NBA history to play for the purple and gold.
