It was the second time that both the teams were going against each other since the blockbuster trade as it was the first time Davis featured against his former franchise. On his debut game for Mavericks, he sustained left adductor injury which kept him out for a major chunk of period.

The last time both the teams met was back in February. Both the players guarded each other on few occasions. While the competitiveness was on display, James and Davis didn't shy away from some banter on the court.

During the game, both the players had a viral moment when Davis showed middle finger to LeBron James. The picture was shared by Aron Cohen, founder of Lakers All Day Every Day, who was present at the American Airlines Center.

All eyes were on Luka Doncic, who was playing his first match against his former team. It was also the first time that Doncic stepped foot on AAC but Lakers fans were glued to James and Davis. Before the start of the game, James and Davis ignored each other and started the game without eye contact.

Before the middle finger incident, James teased Davis as he guarded him on the block with Jaxson Hayes. Both the Lakers players elbowed him and laughed about it, while Davis was not happy at all.

Anthony Davis recorded just 13 points for Mavericks against his former team. James had a good outing as compared to his former teammate as he registered 27 points.

The Los Angeles Lakers are third in the Western Conference with a record of 49-31 and are on a one game winning streak. On the other hand, the Dallas Mavericks are placed tenth in the Western Conference with a record of 38-42 and are on a three game losing streak.
