Memphis Grizzlies faces NBA Playoffs elimination scare tonight as they play Spurs; here's how

The Grizzlies face elimination from any postseason hopes with a loss to the Spurs or a Golden State Warriors victory. The Warriors have been mathematically locked into the NBA Play-In Tournament, according to postseason scenarios. A Warriors loss combined with a Grizzlies loss and a Houston Rockets win would clinch Golden State's spot in the postseason scramble for the final playoff berths in the Western Conference.

The scenarios highlight the precarious positioning in the lower West standings, where the Warriors sit at 34-38 as the projected No. 10 seed, set to face the No. 9 Portland Trail Blazers in the opening play-in game. The Rockets (43-28) continue to hold a strong position as the No. 6 seed, already assured of at least a play-in avoidance for now.
