Jalen Brown has been fined $35,000 by the National Basketball Association (NBA) after the Boston Celtics’ 95-100 loss to the San Antonio Spurs. As the franchise lost narrowly with five points at TD Garden, the frustration lingered even after the final buzzer. What made it worse for the Celtics star was that the NBA fined him after the defeat.

Brown was fined by the NBA following his postgame comments in which the guard criticised the officials. He also said:

"They can fine me whatever they want."

The Celtics player complained to the reporters after the loss on Saturday and claimed that the officiating was inconsistent. Following the complaint, Brown also said that he will “accept the fine at this point.”

Brown complained:

"I think they're a good defensive team, but they ain't that damn good.”

The four-time NBA All-Star continued:

“I hope somebody can just pull up the clips, because it's the same (expletive) every time we play a good team.”

Bown further said:

“It's like they refuse to make a call then call touch fouls on the other end."

Meanwhile, Brown recorded 27 points in 43 minutes, but it was overshadowed by the loss as Spurs star Victor Wembanyama scored 21 points, with 16 of those coming in the second half.

The Celtics also lost their most recent game against the Indiana Pacers with a score of 96-98 and are 3rd in the Eastern Conference. They will next face the Miami Heat on Friday.
