After the game, Babar took to X (formerly Twitter) and lauded the knocks played by Mohammad Rizwan and Abdullah Shafique. In his tweet, Babar also thanked Hyderabad fans for showering immense support on the Men in Green.

"Tap on the back of my boys for never saying never. @iMRizwanPak & Abdullah building on the momentum after brilliant death bowling. Thank you Hyderabad for the incredible support!" Babar wrote on X.

Pakistan are off to a fabulous start in the ongoing edition of the ODI World Cup. After defeating the Netherlands in their campaign opener, the Men in Green scripted history against Sri Lanka and pulled off a heist in Hyderabad to make it two wins in as many matches played.

Talking about Babar, the superstar batter hasn't even scratched the surface yet. In the two matches, the right-handed willow-wielder has failed to make any impact with the bat but still, the Men in Green boasts an impeccable record in the wins column.

In the match against the Dutch, Babar scored just five runs while against Sri Lanka, the 28-year-old was dismissed for 10 runs. The Pakistan team and its fans would hope for Babar to peak at the right time as the tournament slowly enters its business end.

Pakistan's next match is against their arch-rivals India, scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14 (Saturday).
