BCCI secretary Jay Shah gave a big update on India's star batter KL Rahul's injury ahead of upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. KL Rahul might be seen in action in the IPL 2024 as he will be captaining the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). While giving an update on Rahul's injury, Jay Shah said that currently the star batter is at the NCA. He also said that Rahul needed an injection and has started his rehabilitation.

"KL Rahul needed an injection, he has started rehab and is at the NCA," Jay Shah told PTI.
"Shami's surgery is done; he is back in India," Shah said. “Shami's return is likely for the home series against Bangladesh,” Jay Shah added.
Rahul was sidelined for the last four Tests against England due to discomfort in his right quadriceps. After complaining of the back pain in his right quadriceps following the first Test against England in Hyderabad, the star batter reported the issue. India faced a significant setback when Rahul, together with Ravindra Jadeja, was declared unfit for the second Test in Vizag. However, Rahul failed attain full recovery and went on to miss the entire series after the first Test. Notably, Rahul played a crucial 86-run knock in the first Test, however his efforts went in vain as India lost the opener. Rahul is expected to play for the LSG in the IPL after undergoing treatment in London. Nonetheless, it's believed that Rahul is yet to receive the green light to join the Super Giants.
Notably, LSG will start their IPL 2024 campaign with a match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on March 24. IPL 2024's schedule for the first 21 matches has been released, which will be played from March 22 to April 7. The remainder of the schedule will be announced in keeping in mind about the Lok Sabha elections dates.
