The International Cricket Council (ICC) have passed the budget for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 which will be hosted by Pakistan in February-March next year. BCCI will yet to decide on whether team India will travel to Pakistan for the marquee event or if India matches will be played at a neutral venue. However, the ICC allotted Rs 12.80 billion to Pakistan for the multinational tournament. ICC's chief finance officer, Ankur Khanna, and PCB's chief finance officer, Javed Murtaza, had prepared the budget.
ICC allocated this budget to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to renovate venues in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi for the Champions Trophy 2025. PCB are sticking to its original plan of hosting the whole tournament in Pakistan but as per Cricket Pakistan's report team India might play their matches at a neutral venue rather than travelling to Pakistan.
Earlier, Pakistan were supposed to host the Asia Cup 2023 but the Indian cricket board decided not to travel to the neighbouring nation for the tournament citing players' safety after that the tournament was played in a Hybrid model where all India matches were played in Sri Lanka.
PCB's proposed schedule for ICC Champions Trophy 2025
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already submitted its draft schedule for Champions Trophy 2025. India will play all their matches in Lahore. If India reaches the semifinal and final, then the knockouts will be played in Lahore only. The arch-rivals India vs Pakistan clash will take place on March 1.

No talks about India-Pakistan Champions Trophy 2025
A senior official from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), who attended the entire conference, confirmed there were no discussions with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) about the Champions Trophy.
“It isn’t a bilateral where two boards will hold discussions. No dialogue happened between us and PCB on the Champions Trophy. Since it wasn’t on any of the agendas, it wasn’t discussed during the AGM too. It is still time away and ICC will handle it,” says a top BCCI official quoted by Cricket Pakistan.
