Former England all-rounder Michael Vaughan continued to take a dig at the Indian Test pitches by comparing them to the gully cricket surface. He has uploaded a video on social media space ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter). In the video, 49-year-old Vaughan is playing gully cricket on the streets of Mumbai with local kids. Vaughan also said that he loved playing cricket with the local boys.
He shared a video with the caption: ‘Loved playing with the kids in #Mumbai .. similar pitch to the Test pitches’.
“Kids just so happy to play the game anywhere in #Mumbai … surely it should be one hand one bounce of the motorbike … #India,” he added in another tweet.

Former England captain and active commentator Vaughan is known for sharing his insights and opinions on cricket worldwide. He maintains an active presence on social media, often sharing witty and sarcastic tweets about cricket events.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) named Vaughan as their head of social media for the remainder of the IPL 2024. Recently, Vaughan uploaded a photo of himself with the Gate Way of India in Mumbai as he arrived in Mumbai with the RR team for their clash against Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians (MI).
“So pleased to have signed for the biggest franchise @rajasthanroyals to become head of social media .. Watch this space for great content," tweeted Vaughan.
Meanwhile, Vaughan endorsed Mayank Yadav to represent Team India in the upcoming summer season after IPL 2024. The LSG pacer made IPL history by winning the ‘Player of the Match’ awards in his first two matches. He snapped up three-wicket hauls in both matches. Vaughan suggested that allowing Yadav to play for a county team during the summer would benefit both him and Indian cricket.
“It would serve Mayank Yadav & Indian cricket well if they allowed him to play for a county this summer,” Vaughan tweeted on X.
