Hardik Pandya needs to hit 5 sixes in Asia Cup 2025 to surpass KL Rahul on elite list
The India all-rounder currently has 95 maximums under his name in the shortest format and needs to hit 5 more to overtake KL Rahul's tally
India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been included in the Men in Blue's 15-member squad for Asia Cup which is set to commence later this year from September 9. Pandya has been a key figure in the side for many years now especially in the shortest format and will be looking to contribute well in both the batting and bowling departments in the continental tournament.
Pandya has been known as a hard-hitter of the ball ever since his international debut in T20Is back in 2016. The 31-year-old has very well lived up to his reputation as he has 95 sixes under his belt so far in 114 matches in the shortest format.
If Pandya manages to hit five more maximums in the Asia Cup, then he will go on to surpass KL Rahul's tally of 99 sixes in the shortest format. This will see the all-rounder become the Indian player with the fourth-most sixes in T20Is.

Meanwhile, despite batting in the middle or sometimes even in the lower-middle order, Pandya has still managed to score a massive 1812 runs in T20Is so far in his career. The all-rounder is the fifth-highest run-getter for the Men in Blue in the format and will definitely be looking to score many more runs in the Asia Cup.
Pandya has so far played 114 T20I matches so far in his career. His contributions with the bat have been quite important for the side, but the all-rounder has also impressed a lot in the bowling department. Notably, the 31-year-old is the third-highest wicket-taker for the Men in Blue in the format with 94 wickets under his belt so far.
