Coming back to Pakistan's last clash against India, Team India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in a one-sided clash to seal their berth in the Super Four of the Asia Cup. Pakistan, who opted to bat first at Dubai Stadium, were restricted to 127/7, and as the spin trio, Axar Patel (2/18 in 4 overs), Kuldeep Yadav (3/18 in 4 overs), and Varun Chakravarthy (1/24 in 4 overs), seemed unplayable against the Men in Green.

While chasing, India opener Abhishek Sharma ripped apart Pakistan premier speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi, smashing him all over the ground. The southpaw started the proceedings with a boundary and smashed a maximum on the second ball. He scored 31 off 13 balls that helped the defending champions to get a good start, and after that, skipper Suryakumar Yadav led from the front and played a match-winning 47-run knock. He finished the clash with a six. Pakistan will now face the UAE on September 17 at the same venue for their third group stage clash.
