Suryakumar Yadav-led India becomes the Asian Champions after defeating Pakistan in the title decider of the Asia Cup 2025 at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai. The Men in Blue went past the third time against Pakistan in the continental tournament, and it was Rinku Singh who smashed the winning boundary for India. 

Rinku, who was unable to get a chance in the mega event, was included in the team after the star all-rounder Hardik Pandya was forced to miss the title decider due to an injury. However, it was a dream come true for Rinku as he was the guy at the crease when India's scores were levelled and India needed one run to win. The Kolkata Knight Riders star finished off the clash with a boundary on his first ball. After finishing the clash, Rinku said that one was needed and he smashed it for a four because everyone knows he is a finisher.

"Nothing else matters. This one ball matters. One was needed. I hit it for a four. Everyone knows I am a finisher. Team won and I am really happy" said Rinku Singh in the post-match presentation. 

Notably, Rinku menifested it before the tournament that he want to score winning runs in the Asia Cup 2025. 

Coming back to the Asia Cup 2025 final, India batter Tilak Varma and a great bowling display from Kuldeep Yadav helped India to win their ninth Asia Cup title, following a five-wicket win over arch-rivals Pakistan in a thrilling final. 

India needed 10 runs in the last over, Tilak smashed the controversial trouble monger Haris Rauf into mid-wicket stands before Rinku Singh, getting his first hit of the tournament, sent the Indian fans into delirium with a winning boundary.

After losing three wickets in the first five overs, scoring 20 runs,  Tilak (69 not out off 53 balls) was composed and audacious in equal measure with Sanju Samson (24) and Shivam Dube (33 off 21 balls ), who proved to be brilliant support casts as India chased down 147 in 19.4 overs.
