India's stunning victory
Meanwhile, India defeated Pakistan by five wickets in what was an highly entertaining Asia Cup final. After being given a target of 147 to chase by the Men in Green, Suryakumar & Co. went on to chase it down with just three deliveries left to spare. Though India had a horrendous start to their innings and got restricted to 20/3 at one stage, however Tilak Varma's spelendid batting saw them steer through to the target.
Tilak and Dube took India through
The left-hander remained unbeaten on 69 runs and was assisted well by Shivam Dube, who played an important inning of 33. The duo formed a valiant 60-run stand and carried the Men in Blue to victory in what was an incredibly close game. This is India's ninth Asia Cup triumph which saw them extend their record as the most successful team in the history of the tournament.
