Story Highlights:

Suryakumar-led India will play their campaign opener against UAE on September 10.

This is the third edition of Asia Cup in the T20 format.

The high-voltage controversial India-Pakistan clash is scheduled to take place on September 14.

Asia Cup 2025 Schedule: The T20 Asia Cup 2025 is scheduled to commence on September 9 with Group B teams Afghanistan and Hong Kong taking on each other at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. This is the 17th edition of the Asia Cup. However, it is the third time Asia Cup will be taking place in the T20 format. 

This year’s Asia Cup will be played in T20 format to help teams prepare for the T20 World Cup 2026. Before the ODI World Cup 2023, the Asia Cup was played in the ODI format. The first ever T20 Asia Cup was held in 2016 with India winning the title. In the 2022 edition, Sri Lanka won the title in UAE.

In this edition, as many as eight teams are participating. Group A comprises of India, Pakistan, United Arab Emirates and Oman. Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Hong Kong are in Group B.
