Rain forced the official to call early stumps on Day 1 of the second and Final Test being played between the Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team and Najmul Hossain Shanto's Bangladesh which is being played at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur, on September 27 (Friday). Only 35 overs of game was possible on the opening day before it was called off and the visitors are batting on 107/3 at stumps. Akash Deep dismissed both openers and post-lunch Ravichandran Ashwin got the wicket of an in-form Bangladesh captain to put the hosts in a strong position.
Now fans are worried that the bad weather and rain might spoil the game on Day 2 as well and their concerns are real because as per the weather forecast, there is a 100 per cent chance of rain and it might again play spoil sport in the action. The officials would also try to make up for the lost overs today and this could mean that umpires allow the game to proceed on Day 2 for a longer time. The forecast predicts a similar kind of weather throughout the first four days which might force this match towards a draw but hopefully, this would not be the scene on Day two and everyone gets to witness the match without interruption.
