Rain might hinder the 3rd T20I between India and Bangladesh.

The 3rd T20I between India and Bangladesh is schedule to be held in Rajiv Gandhi International stadium in Hyderabad on October 11.

Suryakumar Yadav-led Team India aims to complete a clean sweep in the T20I series against Bangladesh, with the final match scheduled for Saturday, October 12 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. However, there is a possibility of rain interfering with the match, as persistent showers affected the ground on Friday (October 11) afternoon. A heavy downpour forced the groundsmen to cover the entire square, leading Bangladesh to cancel their evening practice session.

This rain-affected scenario echoes a recent Test match between India and Bangladesh in Kanpur, which was also impacted by weather. Despite the rain interruptions, India managed to secure a decisive victory within the final two days of play.

Rain to play spoilsport in India vs Bangladesh 3rd T20I?

Rain may dampen the excitement for the series finale between India and Bangladesh in the third T20I at Hyderabad. Accuweather predicts a possible morning thunderstorm followed by a mix of sunshine and clouds in the afternoon. While there's a 40% chance of rain in the morning, the forecast suggests minimal rain in the evening, offering some hope for a full game.

The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad has hosted only three T20I matches in total. The first T20I at this venue, between India and Australia in October 2017, was abandoned without a single ball being bowled. Despite no rain on match day, the wet outfield forced the umpires to call off the game. Heavy rain in the days leading up to the match had left the field with wet patches, creating unsafe playing conditions for the players. Additionally, there were complaints about inadequate ground covers at the stadium.

The match is scheduled to begin at 7 PM IST with the toss happening at 6:30 PM IST. This comes after India secured dominant victories in the first two T20Is, winning by seven wickets in Gwalior and a massive 86 runs in Delhi. With a clean sweep on the line, both teams will be hoping for clear skies for a thrilling finale.
