Shivam Dube out of T20I series against Bangladesh
Dube, who was a key member in Team India's T20I World Cup 2024 title triumph, sustained an injury during a practice session. His absence is likely to impact India's middle order and bowling options, particularly due to his capacity to contribute in both areas. Although the specifics of Dube's injury have not been revealed, the management has opted for a cautious approach to prevent further complications.
Tilak will be aiming to make the most of this chance. Varma, who has already made a name for himself in the IPL for Mumbai Indians, is considered a promising young talent with the potential to make a big impact in the middle order. The left-hander made his debut for India in 2023 and has participated in 16 T20Is, with his most recent appearance occurring in January 2024.
