In the three-match series, India has an unstoppable 2-0 lead after their triumph over Bangladesh on Wednesday. The game's highlight was rookie all-rounder Reddy, who not only took two wickets in his four overs but also scored 74 off 34 balls. Abhishek took one wicket in his two overs despite only being able to muster 15 runs in 11 deliveries. Cummins received special recognition from Basit Ali for Reddy and Abhishek's ascent.

"A special mention to Pat Cummins. It would be unfair if I didn't take his name. The way he has supported Abhishek Sharma and Nitish Kumar Reddy in the IPL, we must address that," Basit Ali said while speaking on his official YouTube channel.

The 21-year-old Reddy took two wickets (2/23) with his seam bowling after playing the most beautiful performance of his young career (74 off 34 balls). Reddy teamed up with Rinku Singh (53 off 29), who blazed with a scorching half-century as well, to enable India score an incredible 221/9. With the exception of a batting blunder in the third over of the innings, the Indians looked to be in command and dominated Bangladesh all game long.

India's bowlers were hitting the mark, and the fielders made several outstanding catches to limit Bangladesh to a pitiful 135/9. Reddy and Rinku saved India from certain defeat with a crucial and game-winning 108-run partnership for the fourth wicket (41/3). As he scorched the Bangladeshi assault, hitting seven sixes and four fours in only 34 deliveries, Reddy appeared to be in perfect form. On Saturday, October 12, in Hyderabad, at Reddy's home field, India takes on Bangladesh in the third Twenty20 International.
