Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team is all set to take on Najmul Hossain Shanto's Bangladesh in a two-match Test series which is scheduled to start on September 19 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. This is India's first assignment since the 0-2 ODI series loss against Sri Lanka last month. This is also their first Test series since the five-match England series earlier this year. Ahead of the clash, star Indian batter Virat Kohli has arrived in Chennai.
Virat Kohli reaches Chennai
Kohli was spotted at the Chennai airport, he arrived here from London where he has been in the recent time. Virat was wearing a white t-shirt and paired it with brown trousers and a matching hat. The video of his arrival in Chennai is creating a lot of buzz and the video is going viral all across social media at a rapid pace.
Virat had an underwhelming outing in the recently concluded Sri Lanka series. He could not even reach the 25-run mark in any of the three games. He could only score 24, 14 and 20 against the Lankan Lions. He last played Test in January against South Africa and was unable for the England series. He would be eager to get some runs from his bats ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy later this year. He also has great numbers against Bangladesh. In 6 red-ball matches, he has amassed 437 runs with an average of 54.62. He also has two Test centuries against Bangladesh and one of them was a double ton.
