Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell who is currently featuring in Big Bash League picked a nearly impossible catch at the Gabba Stadium in Brisbane. During a match between Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Stars, Maxwell shocked all the cricket fans with his amazing catch. 

Heat's batter Will Prestwidge played a shot with full force but Maxwell denied the batter getting a maximum by picking that catch. As the ball was about to cross the boundary, Maxwell jumped in the air and pushed the ball inside the boundary line with one hand and then caught the ball. The video of the catch went viral on social media and here is the clip. 

Maxwell who failed to perform with bat contributed with his fielding and that helped Melbourne Stars to win the match by five wickets. Maxwell who is known for his white ball heroics was the part of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in 2024 after his poor outings, the franchise released him before the mega auction and Punjab Kings (PBKS) brought him for a whopping 4.2 crores. Maxwell was part of PBKS from 2014 to 2017.

“What about this from Maxwell, there you go, unbelievable,” commentator Mark Howard said on Fox Sports.  “We have seen some incredible catches this summer, but that is the catch of the year. We have just seen Maxwell like LeBron James flying through the air, flicks it back and does something that only Glenn Maxwell could do.
