Top five run-scorers in ODIs since ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Two Indians, one West Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi on list

The major reason behind it was the advent of T20I cricket. However, the Champions Trophy is set to return. It will be played in Pakistan and the UAE starting February 19. Ahead of the ODI extravaganza, here is a list of top five run-scorers since the final of Champions Trophy 2017 -

5. Bangladesh's Mushfiqur Rahim has scored 3,395 runs from 92 innings at an aveerage of 45.26. He has five centuries and 23 fifties during this period.

4. Pakistan's Babar Azam won't be leading the side. He will be playing under the leadership of Mohammad Rizwan. Babar has scored 4,502 runs from 89 innings at an average of 57.71. He scored 14 centuries and 28 fifties during this period.

3. West Indies are not a part of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Their captain, Shai Hope has scored 5,000 runs from 116 innings at an average of 51.02 including 16 centuries and 25 fifties.

2. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma occupies the second spot. The opener has scored 5,431 runs from 105 innings at an average of 58.39 including 20 centuries and 26 fifties. He is the only batter on the list with a strike rate of over 100.

1. Virat Kohli may have gone through a slump but he overcame it in the ODI format with a stellar run in World Cup 2023. Kohli has scored 5,893 runs from 107 innings at an average of 64.75 including 23 centuries and 30 fifties.

As Shai Hope will not be playing in the Champions Trophy 2025, among current cricketers who will be playing in the tournament, Fakhar Zaman is the fifth on the list. Zaman scored 3,240 runs at an average of 45.63 including 10 centuries and 14 fifties.
