Highlights:

India will face Australia in ICC Champions Trophy 2025 semifinal.

South Africa will face New Zealand in ICC Champions Trophy 2025 semifinal.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is taking place in a hybrid model where semifinal 1 between India and Australia will take place in Dubai on March 5 and the other semifinal between South Africa and New Zealand will take place in Lahore on the next day. Few of the matches in Pakistan ended as a disappointment as rain played spoilsport, including Afghanistan's must-win clash against Australia at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Rain also forced Pakistan and Bangladesh to end their campaign without a win as, after getting ruled out of the tournament, both sides were supposed to play their last league match against each other but the match got abandoned without a toss.

While announcing the squad, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced a reserve day for the semifinals and the final.  The first semifinal on Tuesday (March 4) has a reserve day on Wednesday (March 5). The second semifinal, scheduled for Wednesday (March 5), has a reserve day on Thursday (March 6).  The final has a reserve day on Monday (March 10). In case of a no result in either of the semifinals, then the team that has topped the group will progress to the final. If the reserve day for the final washed out, then the trophy will be shared with both finalists.  Every knockout clash has a maximum additional time of hours for both the days (original and reserve). The venue for final will be decided after the result of India vs Australia semifinal clash. If India defeated Australia it will take place in Dubai. Otherwise, Lahore will host the title decider.
