Champions Trophy 2025 will be played in a hybrid model.

Former Pakistan cricketer Rashid Latif's old video is going viral on social media where he can be seen saying that he possesses connections with underworld gangster Dawood Ibrahim. The video resurfaced on the internet after the Indian government denied giving permission to BCCI to send 'Men in Blue' to Pakistan for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 citing players' safety in the neighbouring nation.

There is a lot of discussions going on for the venue of the Champions Trophy since India denied sending team to Pakistan for the mega event. Here is the clip of Rashid Latif where he can be seen talking about his relations with gangster Dawood Ibrahim.

Earlier, PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi was stubborn as he did not accept the hybrid model for the Champions Trophy but recently while having a chat with the media. The PCB chief hinted he would agree to the hybrid model. He also demanded that hybrid model must happen for all the ICC events that will be hosted by India in the future. As quoted by India Today, he stated:

"A lot of things are going on, and I do not want anything to get spoilt in the middle of this rush. We have given our point of view on some points, and so have India. The only focus is on the win for cricket, that's most important and definitely, everything in proper manner and with respect. We are going to do what is gonna be best for cricket. Whatever the formula the tournament is played in, definitely not a hybrid formula yet, but even if it is a new formula, it will be equal for everyone. At the end of the day we want cricket to win and Pakistan's respect should be kept intact. Let's see what happens."

The mega tournament is supposed to start from February 2025 and the International Cricket Council (ICC) is yet to announce the schedule for the marquee event.
