Yuvraj Singh feels Rohit Sharma will score a 60-ball century vs Pakistan in Champions Trophy clash

India will lock horns with Pakistan in Champions Trophy on February 23

India captain Rohit Sharma has shut down his critics with his impressive comeback following a long rut with the bat and proved his prowess in the ODI format. Despite recent struggles in Test cricket, his limited-overs form remains formidable. Following a period of scrutiny, particularly concerning his potential performance in the Champions Trophy 2025, Rohit Sharma has returned to his characteristic aggressive batting. Rohit scored a explosive century against England in the third ODI which came in just 76 balls and then followed it up with a quickfire 41 against Bangladesh in India's Champions Trophy campaign opener.

Yuvraj Singh's big prediction on Yuvraj Singh ahead of IND vs PAK Champions Trophy clash

As India prepare for a high-voltage match against their arch-rivals Pakistan, all eyes will be hooked on Rohit's performance. He will be up against Pakistan's formidable pace attack, featuring Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Haris Rauf.

However, former India's star all-rounder and two-time World Cup-winner Yuvraj Singh has expressed strong confidence in Sharma's abilities. Yuvraj has made a huge prediction that Rohit will crack a 60-ball century against Pakistan. He believes that a strong performance from Rohit could single-handedly secure victory for India.

"If he’s in form, he will score a century in 60 balls. That’s his quality—once he gets going, he’s not just hitting fours; he’s clearing the ropes with sixes. He is also one of the best players of the short ball. Even if someone bowls at 145-150 kmph, Rohit has the ability to hook it effortlessly. His strike rate is always between 120-140, and on his day, he can single-handedly win you the game, Yuvraj said on a special episode of JioHotstar’s Greatest Rivalry Returns.

Rohit Sharma has a decent track record against arch-rivals Pakistan. He has amassed 873 runs in 19 ODIs against Pakistan at a robust batting average of 51.93 and strike rate of 92.38 riding on two centuries and eight half-centuries.

"Rohit Sharma, whether in form or out of form, it doesn’t matter to me. I would always back my match-winners. In ODI cricket, especially in white-ball formats, he has been India’s biggest match-winner as a batsman, alongside Virat Kohli. If Rohit is struggling but still gets runs, that’s dangerous for the opposition," he added.

While Rohit has rediscovered his form, but another India's batting maestro in Virat Kohli is yet to find his mojo back. In the opening clash against New Zealand, Kohli could only score 22 runs. All eyes will be former India captain when he takes field with the willow against Pakistan at the Dubai International stadium on February 23.
