Rohit Sharma fumes at Kuldeep Yadav during Champions Trophy 2025 final.

India captain explained about his reaction to Kuldeep Yadav during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 semifinal clash against Australia as well as in the final against New Zealand at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai. Rohit was seen fuming at Kuldeep Yadab during the semifinal after he failed to get the ball near the stumps during the semifinal clash of the mega event.

The spinner repeated the same in the final during the 41st over when Kuldeep was found wanting to do a similar thing in the final against New Zealand during the second ball of the 41st over. Rohit was visibly fuming and gave Kuldeep an earful. '"Stumps ke peeche kyu nahi aata hai? (Why don't you get behind the stumps?)," the Indian captain was heard saying on the stump mic in a viral video.

While having a chat with Star Sports Rohit Sharma said that "Us over mein chillaya hoon toh us over mein hi hai wo, next over mein alag hai sab."

Us over mein chillaya hoon toh us over mein hi hai wo, next over mein alag hai sab. (If I shouted in that over, it is in that over only. Everything will be different in the next over).

After India's four-wicket win against New Zealand in the final, Rohit, who was awarded Player of the Tournament, lavished praise on his teammates for their efforts during the whole tournament.

"I want to appreciate everyone who came out and supported us. The crowd here has been magnificent, it is not our home ground but they made it our home ground. The number of people that came here to watch us play and to get that result in the end was very very satisfying. Not just this game but right from the beginning, our spinners in particular, there's too much expectations when you are playing on a pitch like that, but they never disappointed. We do understand their strengths playing on pitches like this, it helped them and we used that to our advantage. We played some really good cricket and throughout the tournament in terms of our bowling we were very very consistent" said Rohit.

Team India became the most successful team in Champions Trophy history as the Champions Trophy 2025 was the third win for the Men in Blue. The first one was shared with Sri Lanka in 2002, and the second title came under MS Dhoni's captaincy in 2013.
