A man was observed sprinkling water on the spectators seated in the sun during the 26th over of the English innings. Although it was only about 34 degrees Celsius in Cuttack, many people thought it was 35 because the heat was starting to affect the fans.

Fans had to contend with the extreme weather and the scorching Indian heat as the Cuttack stands were crammed too full, adding to the excitement of the pivotal match. The stadium staff started dousing the crowd with water to make things easier for the fervent supporters, who must have exhaled in relief following the considerate action taken by the Cuttack management.
The fans were kept interested by the exciting action between the two teams on the field, but the stadium staff's gesture of kindness—sprinkling water on the people who were having trouble—became just as unforgettable. It demonstrated the close relationship between cricket and the individuals who contribute to the unforgettable experience of live sporting events.
Talking about the ongoing match, England dominated the powerplay by scoring 76/0 after 10 overs. However, India managed to make a comeback by taking a couple of wickets. The visitors had posted 186/3 in 33 overs. However, after Joe Root and Buttler got out, England who was eyeing something around 330 got restricted to just 304 runs.
England are eyeing to get some wins under their name ahead of the much-awaited edition of the Champions Trophy 2025 which is scheduled to start on February 19 in Pakistan and Dubai.
