There is no official update on Jasprit Bumrah's injury so far with just few days to the all-important Champions Trophy 2025. Jasprit Bumrah was included in India's squad for the Champions Trophy, but his participation remains uncertain. The BCCI has yet to provide any updates on his fitness following the back strain he sustained during the tour of Australia.

Meanwhile, India's star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was asked about Bumrah's fitness after India thrashed England by four wickets in the fourth ODI in Cuttack on February 9.Jadeja, who was India's pick of the bowlers in India's series-clinching win over England, clearly admitted that he has no news on Bumrah's fitness ahead of Champions Trophy. He said if the superstar pacer is fit, it will be great for the team and the country.

"I have no news about Bumrah. If he is fit, that will be great for the team and the country," Ravindra Jadeja said in the post-match presentation.

Even India's batting coach Sitanshu Kotak has no clue about Bumrah's fitness. On the eve of India versus England second ODI, when he was quizzed about Bumrah's injury, he remained tight-lipped but did mention that it is something physio would know.

"That’s something the physio would know," Kotak said in the pre-match press conference before the second ODI against England.

Champions Trophy 2025 is set to kick off from February 19 in Dubai and Pakistan, all eyes will be on Bumrah whether he can get fit in time for the eight-team tournament.

India's pace spearhead's history with injuries and fitness issues surrounding ICC tournaments has been unfortunate. He has already been forced to miss three significant events: the 2023 World Test Championship Final and both the 2021 and 2022 T20 World Cups. However, this time, his inclusion in the squad suggests that he is expected to be available to play.

Bumrah sustained a back injury in Sydney in early January and has been sidelined since. Despite initial expectations of a return for the third ODI against England, the BCCI has ruled him out of that match. Although Bumrah has been named in India's squad for the ICC Champions Trophy, earlier reports indicated that he would likely miss the group stage matches against Bangladesh, Pakistan, and New Zealand. BCCI is expected to come up with Bumrah's fitness update soon with just 10 days to the Champions Trophy.
