India's explosive batter Rinku Singh has reportedly gotten engaged to Priya Saroj, who is a Member of Parliament (MP) from the Samajwadi Party. Rinku Singh took this big step right ahead of India's T20I series against England which is set to start from January 22.

As per the reports doing rounds, Rinku Singh and Priya Saroj recently got engaged and are likely to get married soon. However there isn't any official announcement on the engagement as of now.
Rinku's fiancee Priya Saroj, who is the daughter of three-time MP and current MLA Tufani Saroj, has also achieved remarkable success in her own right. At just 25 years old, she became an MP, winning the Machhlishahr constituency seat in Uttar Pradesh during the Lok Sabha elections. This victory was particularly massive as she defeated the incumbent, BJP heavyweight BP Saroj. Priya emerged victorious in her first-ever Lok Sabha election by trumping BJP candidate with a big margin of 35,850 votes which made her the second-youngest candidate to be elected to the lower house of Parliament A former Supreme Court lawyer, Priya Saroj is a graduate of Delhi University and boasts a distinguished academic and professional background. She has also done LLB from Amity University, Noida. Before taking up her political career, Saroj practiced law.
In 2024, Priya won her first Lok Sabha election by defeating BJP candidate BP Saroj with a margin of 35,850 votes, becoming the second-youngest candidate to be elected to the lower house of Parliament.
Rinku Singh, who was part of India's triumphant T20 World Cup 2024 squad as a traveling reserve, has been included in the upcoming T20I series against England, getting underway on January 22nd. Notably, India are slated to play a five-match T20I series which will be followed by a three-match ODI series against England before the head to UAE for the all-important Champions Trophy 2025.
Despite not featuring regularly in the national team, Rinku has earned a place in the squad. His recent IPL season saw him score 168 runs at an average of 18.67, although his team successfully clinched their third IPL 2024 title. At the international level, Rinku has represented India in 30 T20Is, scoring 507 runs, and 2 ODIs, where he has accumulated 55 runs. Renowned for his ability to perform under pressure, Rinku has consistently impressed with his powerful and impactful batting displays for Team India and he will look to do the same in the upcoming T20I series against England.
