The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Wednesday unveiled the team’s official jersey for the upcoming T20 World Cup that commences on October 17.
The BCCI posted a picture of the new jersey on their social media saying that the patterns on the new jersey are inspired by the billion cheers of the fans. Compared to the old jersey, the new jersey bears a darker shade of blue with diagonal patterns at the front and a touch of orange lining on the neck and pocket area.
Members of the Indian team including captain Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja posed for the cameras in the new jersey.
India will take on England and Australia in their two warm-up matches on October 18 & October 10 in Dubai and Abu Dhabi respectively ahead of the T20 World Cup.
Virat & Co will open their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 24.
