With their eight-wicket win over Afghanistan on November 7, New Zealand become the fourth side to reach the last four of the T20 World Cup 2021. Furthermore, with this win, they dashed India's slender aspirations ahead of their game against Namibia, which will now be a dead rubber.

Table-toppers Pakistan are the other side from Group 2 to qualify for the semi-final, while from Group 1, England and Australia have secured their berths. In addition, now the teams have clarity about the venues on which they will play the match.

First semi-final

Table-topper from Group 1, England will face off Kane Williamson-led New Zealand from Group 2 in the first semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2021. The match will be played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi on November 10.

In the recent past, the English side have given a few dreadful moments to the BlackCaps. Whether it’s the T20 World Cup 2016 semi-final or World Cup 2019 final, Eoin Morgan-led team turned out to be too good for Williamson and company. On Wednesday, Kiwis would look to turn it around against England and reach their first T20 World Cup final.

England have already won the T20 World Cup in 2010 while Blackcaps are still searching for a World Cup title. However, they have broken their ICC trophy drought against India in the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) this year.

Second semi-final

The champions of T20 World Cup 2009, Pakistan will be against the finalists of T20 World Cup 2010 Australia in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2021. Pakistan are the only side in the tournament who are still undefeated whereas the mighty Aussies are also coming with four wins in five Super 12 games. The match will be played at Dubai International Stadium on November 11. In fact, the final is also scheduled at the same venue.

Will Australia be able to maintain their momentum against Men In Green, or will Pakistan win their sixth game in a row to reach the finals? An epic encounter awaits!
