The Women's World Cup 2025 semifinal line-up has been revealed as India will be locking horns with the unbeaten Australia in the Last Four showdown. This fixture was confirmed after the Australia bulldozed South Africa by seven wickets at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on October 25.

Harmanpreet Kaur-led side stapled their spot in the semifinals earlier with a convincing victory over New Zealand at the Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Thursday. India, Australia, England, and South Africa are the four teams that will now compete for a coveted spot in the tournament final.
India kicked off their campaign strongly with consecutive wins against Sri Lanka and Pakistan, but their momentum stalled after suffering three successive defeats to South Africa, Australia, and England. The two-time runners-up then delivered a dominant performance in a crucial match against New Zealand, showcasing both batting power and clinical bowling to secure a vital two points and revive their tournament hopes.
Following their victory over the White Ferns, India accumulated six points from three wins. Although both New Zealand and Bangladesh could also reach six points with wins in their final fixtures, India will advance to the knockout stage regardless of the result of their last match against Bangladesh. This is due to the tournament's primary tiebreaker for teams level on points: the number of wins.
Defending champions Australia were the first team to qualify for the semi-finals after their win against Bangladesh. They remain the only unbeaten team in the tournament and sit comfortably atop the eight-team standings with 13 points from seven matches. The Proteas (South Africa) became the second team to secure their spot, finishing in second place with 10 points. Meanwhile, four-time winners England also booked their semi-final place by narrowly defeating India.

The four qualified teams will now battle for a spot in the final. The first semi-final will take place on October 29 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, where South Africa will face England. The second semi-final, featuring India against Australia, will be held the following day, October 30, at the Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
