After being asked to bat in the second ODI, Team India were off to a horrible start as they were reduced to 49/5 in the eighth over. After that, the management took a surprise call to send Harshit Rana for number seven. He also batted well 35 runs in 33 balls to reduce pressure from the team.

However, Harshit's promotion in the batting order demoted Shivam Dube, who was supposed to bat at that order, but he came into bat at number eight with eight overs remaining for the game. He got out after scoring four runs in two balls.

Sadagoppan Ramesh's suggestion for BCCI

Sadagoppan took his Instagram to suggest that the management focus on each player's strength and main role in the team and aim to get the best out of them in that role.

"Someone who cooks well can't be made a driver and a good driver can't become the cook. Likewise, the management should focus on each player's strength and main role in the team and aim to get the best out of them in that role. If they do something extra, that's well and good."

"But their secondary skill should not become the primary role and I fear that's happening in this Indian team. A bowler who can bat needs to deliver with the ball first and likewise a batter who can bat must deliver with the ball first. The management needs to be clear on this. That's where India are slipping right now."

Australia defeated India by four wickets in the second T20I to take a 1-0 lead in the five match series. The third T20I will take place on November 02 at Ninja Stadium.
