Khenamann was part of the ODI series opener in Perth as a replacement for first-choice spinner Adam Zampa, but didn’t join the national squad for Thursday’s match in Adelaide. On the other hand, veteran batter Marnus Labuschagne has left the ODI squad so he can feature in the third round of the Sheffield Shield for Queensland to get prepared for the Ashes 2025.

Apart from that, senior all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and speedster Ben Dwarshuis will be part of Australia's T20I squad against India from game three and game four, respectively. Maxwell fractured his wrist ahead of the recent T20 tour of New Zealand, while Dwarshuis was ruled out of the ODI series against India after damaging his calf.

One significant change will be the addition of pacer Mahli Beardman to Australia's T20I squad from the third clash, replacing Josh Hazlewood.  Sean Abbott, who is currently on the road to recovery after damaging his hand during last week’s match against Victoria in Melbourne, will leave the T20 squad after game three so he can play the fourth round of the Sheffield Shield, suggesting he’s in contention for the Ashes.

Australia wicketkeeper-batter Josh Philippe, who had a great outing against India in the first ODI in Perth, has also been added to the T20I squad against the Suryakumar Yadav-led side.
