Former India assistant coach Abhishek Nayar revealed that batting great Rohit Sharma will lose more weight before his upcoming assignment. Notably, Rohit has lost almost 11 kgs before the Australia series, where Nayar played a crucial role in his transformation before making an international comeback after a long seven-month gap.

Rohit's last outing came in the three-match ODI series against Australia, where he smashed a century in the third clash at Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney.
"Three months of hard work, not eating his favourite food, training hard - maybe you will see a few more kilos down when we see him play next time," Nayar said on JioHotstar as Rohit slammed a century in the third ODI against Australia in Sydney.

Rohit, who captained India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 win, was the highest run-getter for India, scoring 202 runs in the series. Rohit, who was cheaply dismissed after scoring eight runs in the first ODI, smashed 73 off 97 in the second and played an unbeaten match-winning 121-run knock in the third ODI.

Australia defeated India 2-1 in the three-match ODI series. Mitchell Marsh-led side defeated India by seven and two wickets respectively, and India won the third clash by nine wickets.
