India speedster Arshdeep Singh credited Jasprit Bumrah for getting wickets after the Suryakumar Yadav-led side defeated Australia by five wickets at Ninja Stadium in Bellerive Oval, Hobart. Arshdeep, who came into India's playing XI after missing the first two clashes, picked up a three-wicket haul to restrict Australia to 186/6 in 20 overs.
Arshdeep Singh on getting a chance in the 3rd T20I
After getting a chance in the third T20I, the left-arm speedster said that he was working on his process and he is feeling good to contribute.
"I’ve just been working on my process, trusting my skills, and executing the plans I’ve practised. It feels great to contribute when I get the chance," said Arshdeep in post-match presentation

Arshdeep picked up Travis Head's wicket in the first over, and after that, he removed Josh Inglis (wk) and Marcus Stoinis. The Punjab-born speedster reckons that he got wickets because pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah is bowling from the other end and the batters often take more risks against him, and that gives him the wicket-taking opportunity.
"Yes (enjoying bowling to aggressive batters), definitely. When someone is coming hard at you, there’s always a chance to pick up wickets. And when someone like Bumrah is bowling from the other end, batters often take more risks against me, which gives me wicket-taking opportunities. I just try to enjoy my bowling and keep my plans simple. No matter the situation - powerplay or death - I just focus on execution and stick to what I’ve practised," added Arshdeep Singh
India vs Australia 3rd T20I
Sundar played a crucial role at the backend after Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakravarthy's brilliant bowling helped India to register a five-wicket win in the third T20I to level the five-match T20I series 1-1. Chasing a stiff 187-run target, Washington struck an unbeaten 49 off 23 deliveries as India won with nine balls to spare.
After Australia scored a competitive 186/6 despite India left-arm pacer Arshdeep (3/35) and mystery spinner Chakravarthy (2/33) taking three and two wickets respectively, India were off to a confident start but kept losing wickets at regular intervals.
Earlier, half-centuries from Tim David (74 off 38 balls) and Marcus Stoinis (64 runs off 39 balls) gave Australia a fighting total.
Brief Scores:
Australia: 186 for 6 in 20 overs (Tim David 74, Marcus Stoinis 64; Arshdeep Singh 3/35, Varun Chakravarthy 2/33, Shivam Dube 1/43) vs India.
India: 188 for 5 in 18.3 overs (Abhishek Sharma 25, Tilak Varma 29, Washington Sundar 49 not out; Nathan Ellis 3/36).
