Apparently, Bumrah humorously told a reporter to google his record when the latter asked the India pacer about India's batting and went on to say that the India pacer isn't the best person to answer this question.

However, Google India took to social media and came up with a witty tweet while reacting to Bumrah's remark:

"I only believe in Jassi Bhai."

Let's take you through the conversation between Bumrah and journalist:

Reporter: "Hi, Jasprit. What is your assessment of the batting, although you are not the best person to answer the question, but what do you think about the situation of the team, considering the conditions in Gabba?"

Bumrah: "It's an interesting question. But, you are questioning my batting ability. You should use Google and see who has got the most number of runs in a Test over. But, jokes apart. That's another story."

The humorous exchange began when a journalist playfully questioned Bumrah's credibility to comment on India's batting performance. In response, Bumrah, with a smile, reminded the journalist of his world record for scoring the most runs in a single over in Test cricket.

However, Bumrah justified his remark on Day 4 of the Gabba Test, as he stitched a 39-run partnership with Akash Deep to help India avoid follow-on. India were 252/9, trailing Australia by 193 runs at the Day 4 stumps.

India's innings got off to a shaky start with Rohit Sharma departing early for 10 runs. However, KL Rahul, who was dropped on the first ball of the innings, anchored the innings with a fluent 84. Ravindra Jadeja provided valuable support with a well-crafted 77. Nitish Kumar Reddy contributed a quickfire 16 runs, but it was the lower order, particularly Jasprit Bumrah and Akash Deep, who stole the show.
