They had announced their playing XI a day before the match itself and Scott Boland will be coming in for Josh Hazlewood.
India won the toss and elected to bat first. Indian captain along with Shubman Gill and Ravichandran Ashwin find their way into the team. Washington Sundar, Dhruv Jurel, and Devdutt Padikkal have sit out for the game
Captains at Toss
"We are going to bat first. Looks a good pitch, looks a bit dry at the moment, enough grass covering as well. There will be something in it for everyone. I have been here for two weeks now. Ready to go now. The mood is good, pretty vibrant. What the boys did in Perth was superb. It's a long series, we'll try and do most things right. The fast bowlers are happy (with the break). We want tocarry from where we left. We have made 3 changes. I am back, Gill is back. Ashwin is back. I am batting in the middle order," said Rohit Sharma after winning the toss.
"It's always good to have a fresh start. Pink ball can be a little bit different. It's been a really good preparation. It's pretty muggy today. Just one change. Josh Hazlewood misses out, and Scott Boland comes in," said Cummins.
