India's batting stalwart Virat Kohli becomes the second player who has featured in 100 Test matches against Virat Kohli. The former India captain achieved the milestone during the third Test match of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Brisbane's iconic Gabba Stadium.

With this remarkable feat, the Indian star has joined cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar in the list of players who played in 100 or more matches against Australia. Sachin has played 100 matches against Baggy Greens in his career across formats. He played 39 Tests and 71 ODIs.

Coming back to the match, After being asked to bat in Gabba, Australian openers Usman Khawaja and young Nathan McSweeney played a defensive cricket against India's legendary speedster Jasprit Bumrah before the rain forced to stop the play on Day 1 of the third Test match. The day 1 called off just after 13.2 overs of play. Australia ended the first day scoring 28 no loss.

As day 1 washed out now all the remaining four days of the ongoing Test match will start early. The proceedings for the remaining days of the Test match will start at 5:20 AM IST and there will be 98 overs bowled on Day 2, weather permitting.

With the series level at 1-1, both teams will look to win this Test match to take lead in the ongoing five Test match series. India who won their last two editions of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on Australian soil will look for a win hattrick and on the other hand, Australia who defeated India by 10 wickets in the last outing will also look to continue the winning momentum to win the series.
