Recently Josh Hazlewood publicly criticised Australia's flop batting in Perth Test which fanned rift rumours

Following Australia's humiliating loss against India in Perth Test, their ace pacer Josh Hazlewood publicly criticised his team's batting performance, sparking speculation about potential rift within the team. This speculation was further fueled by Sunil Gavaskar's remark in which he said that Hazlewood might have been dropped from the second Test due to his critical comments rather than an actual injury.

Amidst these rumors, Indian captain Rohit Sharma addressed the situation. While acknowledging the challenges of adapting to different playing conditions, Rohit expressed confidence in his team's mental strength and preparedness to face any situation. He refrained from commenting on the specific details of the Australian team's internal dynamics.

Rohit also put an end to the growing suspense surrounding the Indian opening pair for the second Border-Gavaskar Test in Adelaide. The team has decided to retain the duo of KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal as openers. Rohit Sharma himself will be moving down the order to accommodate the young duo.

“Yeah, he will be opening the batting. I will bat somewhere in the middle,” he further said.

Meanwhile, Australia have announced their playing XI for the pink-ball Test in Adelaide with one big change to their fold. As the injured Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the second Test, Scott Boland will be taking place in the pink-ball contest on December 6.
